PROMPT

You now have a first draft of your game! Look at your list of assets and select around 3 that you would like to design using 3D digital modeling tools such as MagicaVoxel and Tinkercad. Alternatively, explore online repositories to find pre-existing 3D models that align with your sketches.

Instructions:

  1. Check your list of assets to decide which ones you want to model using 3D tools or source from online repositories.

  2.  If you want to create original 3D models, ensure you have either:

    • MagicaVoxel installed.
    • A Tinkercad account created
    • For each software, all the tutorials will be found in the above tabs. 
  3.  Go to the tab for your selected tool (MagicaVoxel or Tinkercad) to learn the specific steps and tips for creating your 3D model.
  4. Once complete, save your model as a .vox file for MagicaVoxel and .glb or .obj for Tinkercad.
  5. For the .vox files you will have to convert them to glb using this https://drububu.com/miscellaneous/voxelizer/?out=obj
  6. Sourcing Online: For assets you prefer not to model yourself, explore online repositories like:
    • Thingiverse
    • Sketchfab
    • TurboSquid

Deliverables:

In the "responses tab":

  • Submit any sketches 
  • Upload the final 3D models:
    • For MagicaVoxel models: Submit the .vox file and their converted files .glb
    • For Tinkercad models: Submit the .glb or .obj file.
    • Take screenshots for each and submit them as well.
